Terms

These terms are a practical baseline for the SKUM beta. They should be reviewed by counsel before broad public launch.

What SKUM is

SKUM is a surf photography marketplace. Photographers upload sessions, buyers purchase access to selected photos, and payouts are handled through Stripe.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account activity. Do not share login links, impersonate another person, scrape the service, or use SKUM to harass people.

Purchases

Buyers receive download access to purchased photos. Unless a separate written license says otherwise, purchases are for personal use and do not transfer copyright ownership.

Uploaded content

Photographers are responsible for what they upload. Uploading stolen, illegal, exploitative, privacy-invasive, harassing, or non-consensual content is prohibited.

Moderation

SKUM may hide, remove, restrict, refund, or suspend content/accounts when needed for safety, legal compliance, payment risk, or platform integrity. If you think a decision is wrong, use the contact process.

Reports and takedowns

Use the takedown form for copyright, privacy, minor-safety, non-consensual image, harassment, or illegal-content reports.

Minors

SKUM is not intended for children. Do not create an account if you are under 16. Content involving minors receives stricter review and may be removed faster.
